Who we are

The Honorary Treasurers Forum is a membership organisation formed in 2004 to provide a source of information, research and knowledge for the Treasurers of charities large and small. It became a registered charity in 2007 and is the only organisation to focus specifically on the needs of the Honorary Treasurer, Treasurers, trustees with financial responsibility and Chairs of Finance or Audit Committees.

The role

The Honorary Treasurers Forum mission is to benefit the voluntary and community sector by providing networking opportunities and resources to improve the effectiveness of existing Honorary Treasurers and to encourage more volunteers to take up this essential trustee role.

With 300 members the Forum runs a hybrid programme of events a year, has a very active WhatsApp group where members support each other and distributes 6 email newsletters a year to its members and over 1,200 supporters.

We are looking for three new trustees to join our board as we launch a new strategy and look to develop our profile, attract new members and enhance our services. With a board of trustees who are experts in charity finance, we are endeavouring to broaden the skill base so if you have digital skills and or marketing experience you could help us become a much better known and digitally competent small but effective membership body.

The Forum operates across the UK and the trustees meet quarterly twice a year in person in London and twice by zoom. We would love to hear from you if you are interested.
