Who we are
Islington Centre for Refugees and Migrants welcomes refugees, people seeking asylum and migrants who have been displaced from their countries of origin. We do this with compassion and friendship building a warm community with in person and online support for English language, housing, health and digital inclusion.
The role
We learn on our Board from trustees who have lived experience of being a refugee or migrant. One of our Board Members is a former client and if you have personal connections that will further strengthen us. Specifically we are looking for two trustees, a Deputy Treasurer with a recognised finance qualification who can work with our brilliant treasurer to continue our improved collective financial knowledge and as part of our succession planning. And a second trustee with experience of the charity funding sector who can bring additional support to our dedicated fundraising team in the challenging economic environment.
Overall the board is diverse, very engaged in the mission and led by an experienced chair.
