The role
OPUS Music CIC is recruiting up to three new Board Directors, including a Chair, to help lead and support its mission of integrating music into health and social care.
They are seeking people with strategic leadership and skills in areas such as:
- Arts and partnerships
- Health/care sector knowledge
- Arts policy
- Financial governance
- IT or marketing
Direct experience in music or healthcare music is not required.

Role overview
Directors provide strategic leadership and governance, working alongside the Chief Executive. Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as ambassadors
- Contributing expertise and strategy
- Ensuring compliance
- Supporting fundraising and partnerships
Expected commitment: ~6 hours per month, including quarterly meetings.
The role is voluntary, with expenses reimbursed.
Chair role (additional duties)
- Lead board meetings
- Support and liaise with the Chief Executive
- Represent the organisation publicly
- Ensure effective governance and decision-making
