Who we are
The SHAMBA Trust in the UK (SHAMBA UK) raises funds for its operational partner in Eswatini, SHAMBA Eswatini (SHAMBA ES), which is the implementing agency for the preschools and associated programmes. These programmes aim to develop the capacity of participating communities to harness external and local resources in order to effectively deliver the support needed to mitigate the burdens of poverty and HIV/AIDS through early childhood education and development.
The role
The role requires a commitment to renew efforts to secure funding for the continuation of the operations of SHAMBA Eswatini.
The role will require development of an understanding of and sympathy with the circumstances of the target population (orphans and vulnerable children) and their families.
It will also require a knowledge of funding sources to support international programmes aimed at alleviating poverty and promoting life chances through education, especially early child development.
Experience with the use of social media to promote the charity and maximise its outreach would also be an advantage.
The position would be unpaid.
