Founded in 2009 on the belief that good governance strengthens society, Trustees Unlimited is a purpose-driven, social enterprise and one of the UK’s first founding B Corps. For over a decade, we have championed excellence in governance across civil society, combining professional expertise with a commitment to positive social impact.
Originally established as a joint venture between the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), Bates Wells, and Russam, Trustees Unlimited disrupted the trustee recruitment market and has since shaped the corporate trustee placement sector with the creation of Step on Board in 2014. In January 2020, we became a wholly owned part of the Russam group, while continuing to collaborate closely with NCVO and Bates Wells to deliver innovative governance services.
