This is the first initiative of the Trustee Diversity Panel, which is supported by Trustees Unlimited.
We know that trustee boards aren’t diverse enough and one of the challenges is people from a wide range of backgrounds who are unable to see people like them represented as trustees.
However, as that picture slowly changes, our aim is to gather the profiles of people from black and ethnic minority backgrounds who are already serving on boards.
The Inspire List will provide a snapshot, but our hope is that it will capture and promote the wide range of people already giving their time, skills and experiences for the benefit of charitable organisations.
How this process will work
We are putting out a call for entries and asking people to complete a short form. We won’t be ‘judging’ entries.
