The newly formed Trustee Diversity Panel has published its inaugural Inspire List of over 60 inspirational trustees from racially and ethnically diverse backgrounds.
The Inspire List celebrates the achievements of those who have overcome these significant barriers to step up as trustees, in a bid to inspire others from underrepresented groups to join them.
Submissions to the List will continue to be accepted online, and the list will be refreshed quarterly, in order to continue building a broader picture of trustee racial and ethnic diversity.
The Trustee Diversity Panel was formed to take action to improve diversity, inclusion and equity on charity boards and the Inspire List is its first initiative.
The panel is convened by Wakkas Khan DL, a trustee of Oxfam, and members are: Tesse Akpeki, Harris Bokhari OBE, Malcolm John, Temi Shogelola and Precious Sithole.
Trustees Unlimited is providing practical support for the Panel and this initiative.
